We all know how important water is for us but do we really know exactly what it does for our body?
Water helps us rehydrate our body. Giving your body enough water will refresh your mind, give you energy and keep your body going throughout the day. Drinking water first thing in the morning flushes out toxins and helps you with your digestive system. Intaking a good amount of water increases your metabolism.
Water intake helps tremendously with your skin.
- Delays signs of aging (wrinkles and fine lines)
- Increases skin elasticity
- Tones skin
- Revive dull skin
- Radiant and luminous skin
- Reduces blemishes and acne
When you have hydrated skin it decreases the amount of oil on the skin. It’s important to have a good balance of oil and water in your skin to prevent breakouts. When you don’t drink enough water, oil will be a lot more in your skin which helps bring out all of the breakouts you are seeing on the skin’s surface.
If it is hard for you to drink plain water, try adding your favorite fruit or veggies in it. You will get a natural flavoring. I love to add lemon, cucumbers, strawberries, ginger.
This is just some of the main things water does for your skin and body. The list goes on. Set a goal of how much you will drink daily. Trust me you will see the difference on your skin.
Cheers!
